Beautiful Chaos

This is a painting from a dream—a short yet beautiful memory. I was having a hard time thinking about what to draw for the theme: 'What does it mean to be human? '. It must have been my last train of thought before falling into a deep slumber. I dreamt about driving on a seaside road with buildings literally floating in the air. They looked confusing, but they were really pretty in my eyes.

I think being human grants us this amazing opportunity to dream and get creative. What also amazes me is that we have the power to translate that dream into literature, music, and even art. For me, being human means I get to experience the world differently than any other human or living organism ever did. No life on earth is exactly the same, which is why being human means we have the ability to share what we feel, what we're thinking about, and whatever we want to say.

Being human can be difficult. It could get repetitive, but the good news is that it doesn't have to. What if you're tired of walking on the same path over and over again? Don't be scared to take another road. Who knows? You could be driving by floating houses where your mind could run free. After all, the world could be such a chaotic place for a single human, but together we can find the beauty behind that chaos.
About the Artist
Francheska (or 'Cai', as people may call her) is a 21-year-old casual and traditional artist from the Philippines. She's currently in her 4th year of college, taking BS Architecture. She uses art as an outlet to express herself, her ideas, and her emotions, making her grab every opportunity at school where she can make art, such as in poster-making contests and the like. Cai has always enjoyed drawing and painting and would love to share it with the world whenever she can. Her art style leans towards portraiture, nature, and character design because of her love for the natural environment and every little unique living thing that exists in it.
