What if I didn’t make it today soul in traction
living off the lie a shark will die if it stops
swimming against the tide
of popular opinion
it is my finger taming water
I form blessings and raise a curse
watching for Armageddon in a teacup
an unnatural fate
paddling with a teaspoon
circling eternally.
